Located on the main street of Franz Josef Glacier, Blue Ice is locally owned, and family operated with two complimentary offerings spilt across two stories. Although positively varied in interior design and atmosphere, both spaces serve the same menu – a combination of delicious Filipino and European cuisine. The ground level is a light, fresh and modern space with well thought out décor, set up primarily with formal dining in mind flowing out onto an expansive wrap around deck, perfect for afternoon drinks in the sun or alfresco dining. Arrive early to claim the best seats and be rewarded with views up the glacier valley, rainforest and snow-capped mountain peaks.
